If you or a child that you know is interested in participating in our after school activities, please contact our Youth Program Coordinator, Chantal Reynolds at 921-8382 or chantal@aaacc.org.

Programs currently available for youth at the African American Art & Culture Complex include: The Youth After School Program. We are pleased to bring to you an after school program that will be rewarding, enriching, and a life altering experience for your child. Our program is designed to expose youth to art and culture which will enable them to use the knowledge and experience they will acquire to broaden their horizons and options for future success in the arts. Classes include: dance, recording studio and audio engineering production (13 to 18 yrs of age), film, theatre, graphic and visual arts, business, animation, and set design. We also have an onsite tutor. Please join us for the experience of a lifetime!

Upcoming Events:

  • Field Trip – April 1, 2008.  Asian Art Museum-study other cultures and art history.
  • We have a scheduled performance at Somarts to close the Neighborhood Arts Festival Celebration on May 3, 2008 hosted by The SF Arts Commission.
  • The young men who recorded the song "Go Smart" will be performing at the Juvenile Justice Summit May 14, 2008.
  • SF Carnaval – Students are Painting float and leading the march for Carnaval May 25, 2008
  • SF Juneteenth celebration-Dance troupe preparing for performance
